Ice Shield Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) Wing Boot Application
Ice Shield PSA™ is a Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) installation application for de-icers. Ice Shield PSA boots are standard Ice Shield boots with the Pressure Sensitive Adhesive applied at the factory. Ice Shield PSA parts are offered for most of Ice Shield’s certified airframes. This addition to the Ice Shield product line allows customers the choice of either the PSA application or traditional contact adhesive application.

What's the difference between a standard Ice Shield boot installation and PSA boot installation?
The Ice Shield PSA installation is quicker, neater and cleaner than a traditional contact adhesive application. Ice Shield PSA reduces installation labor and allows minimal aircraft downtime when replacing wing de-ice boots. This allows immediate flight following installation: Peel.Stick.Fly.™

How to order an Ice Shield PSA boot?
Part numbers for Ice Shield PSA boots are no different from Ice Shield standard boots. When ordering an Ice Shield boot, request the same part number and just ask for PSA. For example if you need a Beech King Air B200 Outboard LH Wing, request a SMR5041-01 with PSA or order (P) SMR5041-01 Ice Shield PSA parts are interchangeable, part-for-part, with Goodrich FASTboots® and with traditional boots from both Goodrich and Ice Shield.
What is the lead time for Ice Shield PSA parts?
Ice Shield has the shortest lead time in the industry.
Is the warranty different from Standard Ice Shield boots?
No difference, Ice Shield PSA boots are covered under the no-hassle warranty program.
Does an Ice Shield PSA boot come with an installation kit?
Ice Shield PSA boots are accompanied with a free of charge installation kit (2MA1778-02). The contents of the installation kit include:
- Primer (HAZMAT)
- SMRA56B conductive cement (HAZMAT)
- 1" Natural Bristle Brush
- 3" Foam Brush
- A Swab Applicator
